Live Music, Dog Show and family fun at the Royal Marines Commando Challenge
The Royal Marines Commando Challenge is growing!
We are excited to introduce you to our new event village, offering even more fun for all the family.
The event village, at Bicton Area, will run alongside the Royal Marines Commando Challenge over the weekend of 13/14 of October 2018, bringing with it a raft of new attractions.
With live music, Kids Commando Course, the Royal Marines climbing wall, family dog show, donkey rides and much more already confirmed, the new event village has everything to make it the perfect family day out.
Live music will be provided by bands from the Service Men & Women based at Hasler Naval Recovery Centre – where some of our most seriously injured personnel receive life changing treatment. Bands from Hasler will play alongside local bands.
The Royal Marines Commando Challenge offers entrants an authentic Royal Marines experience, as they take on the very same endurance course that Royal Marine recruits tackle on the way to earning the coveted Green Beret. Entrants will work hard to overcome obstacles, whilst raising money for The Royal Marines Charity and the Devon Air Ambulance.
Proudly owned by and raising funds for Devon Air Ambulance and The Royal Marines Charity, the Royal Marines Commando Challenge is proudly supported by Aston Martin Bristol, the home of Aston Martin in the South West.
‘As we get closer to October, our entrants are becoming increasingly excited about the challenge,’ says Caroline Creer, spokesperson for the Royal Marines Commando Challenge:. ‘Although friends and family really enjoy welcoming back participants at the end of the course, this year there’s a great deal more to keep everyone entertained - even the family dog! This is one of our most high-profile and popular fundraisers and makes an important impact on our services.’
The event village at the Royal Marines Commando Challenge is open to all. If you aren’t taking part in the main event why not come along and find out more about it, have fun in the event village, and don’t forget to bring your dog to enter the dog show!
However, if you think you have the grit and determination to take on the Challenge then places are still available; enter here now.
