Royal British Legion POPPY APPEAL - 2009 Charity |
 |
The Royal British Legion POPPY APPEAL 2009 were privileged to have been invited as one of the two guest charities at the 2009 Royal Marines COMMANDO CHALLENGE team charity event.
Not only did this enable us to raise the Legion's profile, but it provided a fantastic injection to Poppy Appeal funds, enabling the Legion's welfare operation to keep up with the increasingly complex and expensive challenges that face us as a result of the current activities of our Armed Forces.
Thanks to the Royal Marines COMMANDO CHALLENGE we are better placed to "Safeguard the Welfare, Interests and Memory of those who are Serving, or have Served".
John Pentreath, Devon County Manager, The Royal British Legion
